Research:
I study ecotoxicology, which means I am interested in how anthropogenic contaminants impact wildlife. In particular, my work investigates how aquatic pollutants impact organisms at the molecular level (e.g. changes in gene expression), and whether these molecular changes result in phenotypic effects (such as altered growth, reproduction, or behavior). I am always looking for research students with interests in ecology, conservation, genetics, or animal behavior.
Personal Quote:“I wish it need not have happened in my time,” said Frodo. “So do I,” said Gandalf, “and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.” — J. R. R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
