Professional Highlights:
Born and raised in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, Elmendorf has been singing professionally in front of crowds big and small since the age of nine. Elmendorf is currently working as an elementary music and choral teacher in Arlington, Massachusetts, where she shares her passion for music with her students every single day. She also works at In Sync Performing Arts Center in Quincy, Massachusetts, teaching voice and beginning piano.
Elmendorf graduated with a degree in music education at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, and held the position as KidsJam assistant and assistant to Cathy Horn. Along with her passion for music education, Elmendorf also has a passion for performing musical theatre and held the board position as president for the Berklee’s Musical Theatre Club (MTC). She has appeared in not only shows for Berklee’s MTC such as “Footloose,” “Spring Awakening” (Anna) and “Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson” (Ensemble), but in other regional theatre in Western Massachusetts such a “Next to Normal” (Natalie), “Fiddler on the Roof!” (Hodel) and “The King and I” (Tuptim). She also assistant directed under Rene Pfister the original musical “The Kiss” with music written by Peter Eldridge. Elmendorf has also directed other MTC show’s such as Billboard Goes Broadway – A Revue. Elmendorf was president of the award-winning a cappella group Upper Structure which began in spring of 2015. During her tenure they attended festivals such as BOSS, SOJAM, VoiceJam and LAAF, along with competing and placing at the International Competition of Collegiate A Cappella.
